Every company on Earth uses management systems. Airlines. Hospitals. Amazon. None of it has ever been applied to how we govern ourselves. Social Governance System is building what comes next.
Watch Grant Elder, President and Founder, explain what SGS is and why it matters.
Management systems transformed business. We are applying those same principles — planning, accountability, transparency, continuous improvement — to how communities and societies govern themselves.
The current system is built on dominance — top-down, winner-takes-all. SGS replaces it with a collaborative framework where decisions are made transparently, with participation from those affected.
SGS starts with communities — the level where change is real and felt. It scales from there. The principles work at every level: neighbourhood, city, nation, world.
Today we have the capacity to organize and collaborate at a level that allows us to solve thousands of issues every day. Yet our way of governing ourselves dates back over 250 years. We believe it is essential to bridge this gap — and we can do it by applying what we have already developed in industry to government.
Social Governance System is a US-based international nonprofit building a new collaborative governance framework for communities, institutions, and societies worldwide — applying the proven management principles of industry to how we govern ourselves.
To have a city using the Social Governance System in practice within 18 months, demonstrating the benefits of collaborative governance for communities worldwide.
Social Governance System Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, incorporated in Delaware. We have produced an educational video library in seven languages — English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, and Hindi — and are building interactive tools that apply our governance method to real, contested questions.
